Pregis is seeking a motivated Packaging Coordinator to join our Arlington team. This position plays a key role in supporting production operations by coordinating packaging activities, ensuring quality standards are met, and helping the team achieve production goals safely and efficiently.
This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with manufacturing, packaging, warehouse, fulfillment, shipping, production, or team lead experience who enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and helping teams succeed.

What You'll Do
As a Packaging Coordinator, you will help oversee day-to-day packaging operations while supporting production employees, maintaining quality standards, and ensuring customer orders are completed accurately and on time.
Production & Packaging Coordination
  • Coordinate daily packaging activities to support production schedules and customer delivery requirements
  • Monitor workflow and staffing to ensure efficient packaging operations
  • Verify materials, job specifications, and SAP information prior to and during production
  • Help ensure packaging operations meet productivity, quality, and efficiency goals
  • Support staffing coverage, break schedules, and workforce allocation throughout the shift
  • Assist supervisors in meeting departmental goals and production targets
  • Maintain a strong sense of urgency while balancing quality, safety, and performance expectations

Quality & Customer Satisfaction
  • Monitor packaging operations for defects and quality concerns
  • Ensure customer specifications and quality standards are consistently met
  • Perform and support hourly quality checks and inspections
  • Identify, correct, and escalate non-conformance issues when necessary
  • Partner with Quality Assurance and production leadership to maintain product quality
  • Ensure proper documentation, pallet identification, and labeling accuracy

Team Leadership & Communication
  • Provide day-to-day guidance and support to packaging employees and temporary team members
  • Promote teamwork, accountability, and a positive work environment
  • Communicate production priorities clearly across departments and shifts
  • Assist in training employees on packaging procedures, quality standards, and best practices
  • Support employee development and reinforce standard operating procedures
  • Facilitate smooth shift transitions through effective communication

Safety & Continuous Improvement
  • Support and enforce all company safety policies and PPE requirements
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
  • Identify improvement opportunities related to productivity, quality, and workflow
  • Assist with process improvement initiatives and lean manufacturing practices
  • Troubleshoot operational and workflow issues in real time
  • Support continuous improvement efforts across the department

What We're Looking For
  • Experience in manufacturing, production, packaging, fulfillment, warehouse, distribution, or related operations
  • Previous lead, coordinator, trainer, team lead, or supervisory experience preferred
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously

Education & Experience
  • High School Diploma or GED preferred
  • 3-5 years of experience in manufacturing, packaging, warehouse, fulfillment, production, or related environments
  • Previous leadership, coordinator, trainer, team lead, or supervisory experience preferred
  • Comparable industry experience will also be considered
