Job description

The Wellness Pet Company is on a mission to help the next generation of pet parents fulfill a shared life of wellbeing with their pets through a foundation of proven nutrition. We are committed to crafting high-quality pet food, dental chews, treats, and topper recipes that are made with the perfect balance of high-quality natural ingredients paired with the latest scientific research and technologies. As a community of people working together, Wellies are positively obsessed with how to deliver proven health outcomes that pet parents can see and pets can taste. Wellies bring their best to work every day, come ready to collaborate, embrace the hard things, and own their outcomes.

Our Team is based out of our office in Burlington, Massachusetts, where we work in-office Monday through Thursday each week, and remotely on Fridays. Team members must reside within a commutable distance from our Burlington office. Relocation benefits will not be offered for this position, local candidates only.

Were seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Packaging Project Coordinator to drive end-to-end execution of packaging initiatives. This role is responsible for managing timelines, coordinating cross-functional stakeholders, and ensuring all packaging deliverables are accurate, compliant, and aligned with brand and production standards.

What Youll Accomplish

  • Lead packaging projects from kickoff through final release, ensuring alignment with timelines, scope, and established processes.
  • Develop and maintain project plans, clearly defining milestones, dependencies, and critical paths.
  • Prepare creative briefs and validate all inputs, including dielines, printer specifications, and approved copy prior to design and production handoff.
  • Manage artwork lifecycle across multiple SKUs, including version control, status tracking, and change management.
  • Facilitate the proofing and approval process by coordinating cross-functional reviews, consolidating feedback, and ensuring accuracy across copy, regulatory requirements, claims, formatting, and brand standards.
  • Partner with print vendors to ensure final artwork meets technical specifications and is production-ready.
  • Own and maintain workflow systems, ensuring files are uploaded, routed, and advanced through phase gates with accurate metadata and status visibility.
  • Ensure Digital Asset Management (DAM) systems are structured, current, and compliant with organizational standards.
  • Proactively identify risks, delays, or scope changes, and escalate with recommended solutions to maintain project momentum.

What Success Looks Like

  • Packaging projects are delivered on time with minimal rework and high accuracy.
  • Clear visibility into project status, risks, and timelines across all stakeholders.
  • Organized, compliant file structures and systems that support efficient workflows.
  • Strong cross-functional alignment, enabling the Packaging Manager to focus on strategic and high-complexity initiatives.

Who Were Looking For

Team Wellie is a group of people who are truly obsessed with all the best ways about winning for the consumer and the pets they love. And so, we are seeking an individual who:

  • Always starts with the consumer
  • Is dedicated to doing it right the first time
  • Brings their best every day
  • Has an all-in mindset
  • Embraces the hard things and does them right away
  • Owns their outcomes
  • Gives back to their community

In addition, for this specific role, we need someone who:

  • 2-4 years of experience in packaging, project coordination, or creative management (CPG or food industry experience is a plus).
  • Strong project management capabilities, including planning, prioritization, and multi-project oversight.
  • Working knowledge of packaging development, dielines, and print processes (flexographic, lithographic, digital).
  • High attention to detail with a strong focus on accuracy, consistency, and version control.
  • Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., Monday.com, Smartsheet, Asana) and Adobe Acrobat; familiarity with Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across design, regulatory, marketing, and external partners.

Why Wellness Pet?

We care about the wellbeing of our people, their families, and their pets. We treat every Wellie to a best-in-class benefits package, a warm and welcoming environment, and a place where you can learn and grow professionally. More information about what makes us special can be found on our website. The Wellness Pet Company is proud to be an equal opportunity workplace. We foster an inclusive work environment and are committed to equal employment opportunity regardless of race, color, ancestry, religion, sex, national origin, sexual orientation, age, citizenship, marital status, disability, or veteran status.

The annual salary range for this position is $74,100.00 to $105,300.00, based on a full-time work schedule, anticipated responsibilities, market benchmarks, and organizational equity.
