Packaging Associate Job Description:

PrideStaff is currently recruiting for a Packaging Associate to support daily operations in an established medical and materials manufacturer in Brentwood, NY. The Packaging Associate will be a hands-on, detail-oriented role in a clean and organized manufacturing environment. The ideal Packaging Associate has at least 2 years of experience in a manufacturing role and is able to read and understand Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). The Packaging Associate is a full-time, temp-to-hire position in Brentwood, NY


Packaging Associate Job Responsibilities:

  • Fill Product into Syringes, Containers & Various Packaging Formats with Accuracy & Consistency
  • Insert Pistons into Syringes Without Trapping Air
  • Operate Automated & Semi-Automated Filling & Labeling Machinery
  • Print & Apply Labels with Correct Product Information
  • Count, Bag & Seal Small Parts & Components
  • Maintain Local Inventory of Materials Used in the Department
  • Pack Finished Items into Boxes & Deliver to the Shipping Area
  • Follow SOPs, Safety Guidelines & Production Instructions
  • Keep Work Areas Clean, Organized & Compliant with Sanitation Standards
  • Perform Weekly Cleaning Tasks Including Wiping Surfaces & Occasional Floor Mopping


Packaging Associate Job Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent Required 
  • 2+ Years of Manufacturing, Production or Packaging Experience is Required
  • Must be Able to Read, Understand & Follow Written SOPs
  • Strong Communication Skills, both Verbal and in Writing, are Required
  • Must be Dependable, Detail Oriented & Able to Meet Production Standards
  • Basic Math Skills are Required
  • Must be able to Lift 50 Lbs, Stand for Long Periods & Perform Repetitive Tasks
  • Wear All Required PPE as Needed for Certain Tasks (Hair Nets, Gloves, etc.)
