Adecco is assisting a local client recruiting for Packaging Associate opportunities in Skaneateles, NY. Responsibilities for a Packaging Associate include but are not limited to:

  • Primary Medical Device Packaging: Package and label cuff production line components and final assembly materials according to precise work instructions and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

  • Quality Control & Compliance: Perform visual inspections to detect defects, monitor compliance with regulatory requirements, and escalate any non-conformities or part discrepancies to Team Leaders in alignment with Good Manufacturing Processes (GMP).

  • Inventory & Shipping Prep: Maintain accurate component inventory levels at assigned stations, stack or adjust boxes on pallets for shipping/storage, and adhere to clean workspace rules following lean manufacturing and 6S principles.

  • Safety & Continuous Improvement: Proactively participate in workplace safety protocols (EHS), complete required training certifications, and contribute to lean initiatives and Kaizen events to optimize production line efficiency.

Candidates for a Packaging Associate must meet the following requirements to be considered:

  • Education: Minimum of a High School Diploma or GED required to ensure foundational reading, writing, and math skills.

  • Technical & Visual Skills: Ability to read and understand job instructions, part specifications, and assembly drawings, alongside strong visual acuity to inspect small components and differentiate color-coded parts.

  • Physical Capability: Ability to stand and walk for extended periods (8โ€“12 hour shifts) and comfortably handle light-to-moderate physical assembly line lifting (up to 25โ€“55 lbs, using team lifts/equipment over 40 lbs per ergonomics policy).

  • Core Competencies: Strong collaborative communication skills, basic problem-solving abilities, a commitment to strict confidentiality, and the adaptability to learn new processes or pivot between station changes in a fast-paced environment. (No prior manufacturing experience is required; comprehensive on-the-job training is provided!)
