Packaging Associate |Columbus, Ohio|Now Hiring

Compensation:

  • Starting pay rate of $17.49 per hour 
  • Shift differential $1.00 for 3rd shift 
  • Eligible for annual & skill-based wage increases
  • Eligible for monthly bonus based upon plant productivity*

Available Shift:  3rd - Sunday-Thursday, 11:50PM-8AM

Packaging Associate (Packer)Summary:

Safely and effectively packs finished goods and prepares product for shipment.

Responsibilities:
  • Provides support for the operations team by working safely to feed material into machines, inspect product for defects, and pack finished goods in the correct configuration.
  • Performs quality checks and ensures correct counts on various product sizes and packs items into the appropriate packaging.
  • Makes minor machine adjustments to minimize interruptions and ensure quality product.
  • Replaces adhesive tape in hand tapers and automatic sealing machinery.
  • Ensures that any finished goods or work-in-progress identification labels are present and properly placed.
  • Stacks finished product in the correct configuration, ready for transportation.
  • Ensures good housekeeping and maintains a safe, clean, and tidy work area.
  • Promptly informs supervisor of any issues concerning health and safety, hygiene, quality, or efficiencies.
  • Follows all company-established rules, policies, and safety regulations.
  • Completes paperwork accurately and in a timely manner.
Education and/or Experience:
  • Previous experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment is highly preferred.
  • Ability to work effectively with others as part of a team is essential.
  • Ability to follow standard work instructions is required.
