Job description

The Packer plays a crucial role in preparing cabinets and related products for shipment to customers or distribution centers. This position involves carefully packing, labeling, and organizing cabinets to ensure safe transportation and delivery while maintaining quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
• Packing and Inspection: Inspect finished cabinets for quality and completeness before packing. Collaborate with quality control personnel to address any issues with cabinet quality or packaging. Operate and manage the Packsize machine to create custom-sized packaging for cabinets according to specifications. Conduct regular checks on packaged cabinets to ensure they meet quality standards and are correctly labeled for shipping.
• Organization and Inventory: Maintain an organized packing area and ensure sufficient supplies are available for packaging cabinets.
• Quality Control: Conduct final quality checks on packed cabinets to ensure they meet company standards before shipping. Collaborate with the packing lead and quality control personnel to address any issues with cabinet quality or packaging for further inspection or corrective action.
• Safety and Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines while handling cabinets and packing materials. Follow proper lifting techniques to prevent injury and ensure personal safety.

Requirements
Qualifications and Skills:
• Previous experience in packing, warehouse, or shipping environments preferred.
• Attention to detail and ability to follow packing instructions accurately.
• Basic math skills for counting and recording inventory.
• Physical stamina to lift and move cabinets and packaging materials up to 49lbs.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

• Experience using Packsize machine a plus.
• Ability to lift 49lb boxes.
Education and Certifications: High school diploma or equivalent work history.
