We are seeking a Packaging Designer to create innovative, elevated, and commercially scalable packaging solutions that bring the SKIMS Beauty brand to life across all products and channels.

Role Overview

The Packaging Designer will be responsible for designing and developing primary and secondary packaging across SKIMS Beautyโ€™s portfolio. This role blends creative excellence with technical rigorโ€”translating brand vision into manufacturable, compliant, and best-in-class packaging solutions.

You will partner closely with Product Development, Brand, Creative, Regulatory, and Operations to deliver packaging that is both iconic and operationally sound.

Key Responsibilities Packaging Design & Development
  • Design primary and secondary packaging across all beauty categories.
  • Translate brand strategy and product briefs into distinctive, functional packaging concepts.
  • Develop dielines, structures, and artwork in collaboration with engineering and suppliers.
Brand Expression & Visual Excellence
  • Ensure all packaging reflects SKIMS Beautyโ€™s visual identity, tone, and premium positioning.
  • Partner with Creative and Brand to evolve packaging systems and design standards.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Work closely with Product Development, Regulatory, Quality, and Operations to ensure packaging is compliant, scalable, and manufacturable.
  • Support packaging readiness for new product launches.
Technical Execution
  • Prepare production-ready files, specs, and documentation.
  • Review proofs, samples, and pre-production runs for accuracy and quality.
Vendor & Production Support
  • Partner with packaging suppliers and manufacturers on feasibility, cost, and timelines.
  • Participate in vendor reviews, sampling, and troubleshooting.
Sustainability & Innovation
  • Support sustainable packaging initiatives and material innovation.
  • Identify opportunities to improve functionality, cost, and environmental impact.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
  • 4+ years of packaging design experience in beauty, cosmetics, consumer products, or luxury goods.
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating packaging design, structural thinking, and brand expression.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop)
  • Adobe Dimension, Cinema 4D, Blender, Artios CAD or a similar 3D mock up tool
  • Working knowledge of packaging materials, printing processes, and production workflows.
  • Experience working cross-functionally in fast-paced product development environments.
