Job description


• The Order Processing Specialist is responsible for ensuring the accurate, timely, and compliant execution of customer orders throughout the order fulfillment lifecycle. This role supports manufacturing operations by coordinating order planning, maintaining system data integrity, and ensuring alignment with production schedules and plant capacity.
• The position partners with Engineering, Planning, Manufacturing, Logistics, and Customer Service to support on-time delivery, operational efficiency, and continuous improvement while delivering a high level of customer service.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Manage the end-to-end execution of customer orders, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely completion throughout the order lifecycle.
• Review, validate, and maintain customer order information to ensure data integrity and accuracy.
• Schedule customer orders in alignment with production lead times, plant capacity, and customer requirements.
• Monitor milestone completion and maintain accurate order status within SAP, Symmetry, and other business systems.
• Coordinate engineering activities to ensure timely assignment and completion in support of customer commitments.
• Maintain accurate customer ship dates throughout the planning process to ensure alignment with production schedules and customer expectations.
• Utilize capacity planning tools to support production balancing and level loading.
• Monitor daily order queues, prioritize workload, and proactively resolve planning issues to support on-time execution.
• Process customer order authorization requests accurately and within established service level expectations.
• Manage customer complaint cases by coordinating timely cross-functional resolution and communicating updates to stakeholders as appropriate.
• Escalate order risks, scheduling conflicts, capacity constraints, or other issues that may impact customer commitments.
• Maintain accurate documentation supporting customer orders, engineering activities, and order authorizations.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Planning, Manufacturing, Logistics, Customer Service, and other cross-functional teams to ensure successful order execution.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes, increase operational efficiency, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
Education Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field is required.
Experience, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
• Experience supporting order management, production planning, supply chain, or manufacturing operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Hands-on experience using SAP ERP and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis, reporting, and order management.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment while managing multiple priorities and meeting deadlines.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and take ownership of assigned responsibilities.
