Interested in joining our team of dedicated professionals? Way Finders is currently seeking a Payment Processing Manager in our Rental Assistance Department. The Payment Processing Manager is responsible for overall management and supervision of the payment, related data processing, and financial reporting functions in the Rental Assistance program. The Payment Processing Manager ensures the provision of quality services to the people it serves, and contract compliance to its funding source.

Wage starts between $66,000 and $77,000 per year depending on equivalent qualifications. Interested applicants must submit a resume and cover letter; applications will be accepted until the position is filled.

The candidate will work fully onsite.

Responsibilities include:
โ€ขย ย  ย Manages all aspects of planning, direction, reporting, reconcilations, and supervision of payment, and related data, processing functions in a manner that is timely, accurate, and efficient
โ€ขย ย  ย Interpret and implement program policies and procedures, consulting with internal legal counsel as necessary
โ€ขย ย  ย Oversee department-wide staff training and curriculum in area of expertise, to include regular updates on new policies and procedures
โ€ขย ย  ย Oversees the collection and maintenance of data, statistics, and other internal and external reporting requirements to meet contractual obligations for funding sources
โ€ขย ย  ย Work closely with funding sources and staff to resolve any data discrepancies
โ€ขย ย  ย Collaborate with supervisor and leadership in the evaluation of current systems and workflows; make recommendations for changes and improvement of systems
โ€ขย ย  ย Establish and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with internal staff and departments, owners, landlords, community groups, funding sources, and stakeholders
โ€ขย ย  ย Attend local and statewide meeting as necessary as a representative of the organization
โ€ขย ย  ย Proactively identify and inform supervisor of any issues that may adversely affect the department or organization
โ€ขย ย  ย Remain knowledgeable of current and developing trends within housing assistance and related areas

Supervisory responsibilities include:
โ€ขย ย  ย Ensure new employees are onboarded in accordance with training plans for new staff members; evaluate training program and make process improvements based on feedback and results
โ€ขย ย  ย Evaluate and provide timely feedback to staff on performance-related matters; assess staff membersโ€™ strengths and developmental needs; implement performance plans to ensure the development and/or maintenance of necessary skills
โ€ขย ย  ย Hire new/replacement staff in an efficient manner, following recruiting process guidelines
โ€ขย ย  ย Provide proper support and mentoring to supervisory-level employees to ensure they manage their team effectively through training, communication/feedback, group and 1:1 meetings, timely evaluations, performance plans as necessary, and efficient and thoughtful hiring
โ€ขย ย  ย Those directly and indirectly supervised may include program associates, program specialists, and temporary workers

Requirements include:
โ€ขย ย  ย 5 years' progressively responsible equivalent, or closely related, experience; a combination of experience plus an Bachelorโ€™s degree may be a substitute
โ€ขย ย  ย 3 yearsโ€™ mid-level supervisory experience
โ€ขย ย  ย Advanced computer skills, including the Microsoft Suite, with comfort learning new technologies
โ€ขย ย  ย Demonstrated organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and workflow
โ€ขย ย  ย Capacity to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization
โ€ขย ย  ย Ability to earn and maintain the following required program certifications (training provided)
โ€ขย ย  ย Ability to work both independently and as a member of a team
โ€ขย ย  ย Ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization as well as outside contacts
โ€ขย ย  ย Proficiency in assessing priorities, organizing, and operating in a flexible manner in a fast-paced environment while retaining a high level of attention-to-detail
