Job description

LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking a Customer Order Processing Associate (Contract-to-Hire) to join a growing manufacturing team in Matthews, NC. This is a fully onsite position supporting high-volume order entry, customer support, and import/export coordination.
This role plays a key part in ensuring accurate and timely order processing while delivering a high level of customer service. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working across multiple systems, handling a high volume of communication, and coordinating with internal and external partners.
Key Responsibilities
  • Provide world-class customer service to customers, distributors, and internal teams
  • Receive and process unit and parts orders based on quoted information
  • Accurately enter and validate orders within internal systems
  • Coordinate shipment specifications with freight carriers and forwarders
  • Manage routing of domestic and international shipments (ground, air, import/export)
  • Initiate pickups and deliveries with authorized agents and logistics partners
  • Prepare and process shipping documentation, including commercial and customs/regulatory documents
  • Troubleshoot and resolve shipment issues or discrepancies
  • Communicate order status, shipment updates, and issues via high-volume phone and email activity
  • Partner with Sales, Manufacturing, and external teams to ensure timely delivery
  • Maintain compliance with internal policies, customer requirements, and government regulations
  • Support additional administrative and operational tasks as needed
Qualifications
  • Experience in customer service, order processing, or logistics coordination
  • Exposure to import/export processes, freight forwarding, or shipping documentation preferred
  • Strong data entry skills with high attention to detail
  • Comfortable working in multiple systems (ERP/CRM experience preferred)
  • Ability to manage high-volume calls and emails in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • Highly organized with the ability to prioritize and multitask effectively
