The Position: Processing Team Lead
Job Location: Bolingbrook, IL
Schedule
Monday- Friday, 8AM to 4:30PM
Starting Pay: $20.00 an hour
Essential Functions:
  • Supervising and leading the processing team; responsible for supporting a team of processing personnel, providing guidance, and overseeing their daily activities in a professional and respectful manner.
  • Coordinating processing activities: coordinates the processing of merchandise in accordance with established procedures and timeliness. This includes sorting, security tagging, VAS/QC, and preparing products for storage or shipment.
  • Ensuring accuracy and quality control: ensures that all processing activities are conducted with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail. This includes verifying product information, checking for damages or defects, and maintaining established quality standards.
  • Managing inventory: team lead is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records and managing the movement of products within the distribution center. This includes consistent system checks utilizing warehouse management systems (WMS), reconciling discrepancies, and ensuring proper storage and organization of merchandise.
  • Training and development: taking a lead on training new team members on processing procedures, safety protocols, and company policies. They also provide ongoing training and development opportunities to enhance the skills and knowledge of the team.
  • Collaborating with other departments: processing team lead works closely with other departments, such as receiving, shipping, and fulfillment, to ensure smooth coordination of processing activities. This includes communicating with stakeholders (buying and allocation team), resolving issues, and facilitating the flow of information and product between departments.
  • Ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory requirements: The team lead is responsible for ensuring that all processing activities are conducted in compliance with safety regulations and company policies. This included promoting a safe work environment, identifying and addressing potential hazards, and implementing appropriate safety measures.

Qualifications:
  • Proven experience supervising teams, providing direction, coaching, and performance management
  • Safely operate in a warehouse environment, solid understanding of safety regulations
  • Able to push, pull, lift 50 lbs continuously throughout the shift
  • Stand/walk 10 hours a day
  • Work efficiently as part of a team
  • Be able to receive and give feedback effectively
  • Working knowledge of computer programs for entering data
  • Basic math and recording abilities
