Information Technology (IT) Help Desk Technician
Position Summary:
The IT Help Desk Technician is responsible for providing day-to-day technical support and maintenance of the company's IT systems, software, and hardware. This role ensures that employees have reliable and efficient access to technology resources by installing, configuring, and troubleshooting systems and devices. The IT Help Desk Technician will maintain accurate IT asset inventories, assist with system deployments, and provide excellent customer service to end users while escalating complex issues as needed.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Operations
  • Install and configure software and hardware.
  • Wiping and De-commissioning obsolete hardware.
  • Assist with the deployment of software updates.
  • Setup accounts and workstations.
  • Imaging laptops and desktops.
  • Terminate ethernet cables as required.
  • Ensure accuracy of IT asset inventory
  • Troubleshooting and Problem Solving
  • Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to computer hardware, software, networks, and peripherals.
  • Follow up with users to ensure issues are resolved and customers are satisfied.
  • Escalate complex problems to higher-level IT personnel when necessary.
  • User Support
  • Provide technical assistance to users via phone, email, or in-person.
  • Answer questions about IT systems, software, and hardware.
  • Guide users through troubleshooting steps.
  • Documentation and Record Keeping
  • Document issues, solutions, and user interactions.
  • Maintain accurate records of IT activities and infrastructure.
