Manage day-to-day inquiries and issues as appropriate and provide confidential and personal support services to the Director as requested. OPTION 3: One year of experience at the level of Los Angeles County's class of Staff Assistant II assisting the manager of a line operation in a County department. A Staff Assistant II assists the manager of major division or bureau in a County department by analyzing and making recommendations for the solution of a variety of problems of organization, budget, procedures, systems, program, general management, and personnel. OPTION 4: Two years of experience at the level of Los Angeles County's class of Staff Assistant I assisting the manager of a line operation in a County department.

A Staff Assistant I is responsible for housekeeping and record keeping functions, and conducts administrative studies of internal operations and procedures as an assistant to the manager of a line operation in a County department. SPECIAL REQUIREMENT INFORMATION: Experience is evaluated on the basis of a verifiable 40-hour week. Prorated part-time experience will be accepted.

LICENSE: A valid California Class C Driver License or the ability to utilize an alternative method of transportation when needed to carry out job-related essential functions. PHYSICAL CLASS II - LIGHT: This class includes administrative and clerical positions requiring light physical effort that may include occasional light lifting to a 10-pound limit and some bending, stooping, or squatting.

Considerable ambulation may be involved. Additional Information EXAMINATION CONTENT: Performance Evaluation weighted 100%. Those who achieve a passing score on this evaluation will be considered for permanent appointment.
