Physician & APP Recruitment

Job Summary

Provides full lifecycle recruiting services to meet the physician and physician leadership needs of Corewell Health. Recruits for the most difficult to fill physician roles, including physician leaders and physician executives. May provide direction / training to less experienced recruiters. Builds strong business relationships with hiring managers, networks to source qualified, diverse applicants, assesses talent to deliver the strongest candidate slates, and provides subject matter expertise in all areas of physician recruiting. Serves as a trusted advisor and consultant to physician and operational leaders on complex physician recruitment issues. Ensures exceptional experiences for all Corewell Health applicants.

Essential Functions
  • Recruits for the most difficult to fill physician roles, including physician leaders and executives. May provides direction and training to less experienced recruiters, assisting with sourcing strategies, building relationships and general problem solving. Serves as subject matter expert in all areas related to physician and APP recruitment.
  • Develops a thorough knowledge of assigned clinical service lines: strategic business goals, department culture, needs and expectations. Consults and partners with physician and operations leaders to understand position specific requirements. Conducts in depth intake sessions to assure expectations are clearly aligned, and create a successful sourcing strategy.
  • Provides counsel and advice to physician and operations leaders regarding job market conditions, competitive challenges, interviewing skills, best practice processes, etc. Develops comprehensive and custom recruitment plans for each search. Fully understands and can provide counsel on physician compensation and credentialing requirements.
  • Ensures timely and accurate posting of positions, applicant review, and submission of applicants for hiring manager consideration, within the Applicant Tracking System. Strong knowledge of and adherence to standard work. Actively drives process improvements.
  • Builds strong networks to proactively discover and identify exceptional and diverse slates of external talent. Uses innovative and new techniques and technology. Has extensive external networks in the physician recruiting professional organizations. Is widely recognized as a physician recruitment expert.
  • Provides complete, accurate and inspiring information to candidates regarding Corewell Health opportunities.
  • Interviews applicants to assess qualifications, behavioral competence and availability, in accordance with Affirmative Action and other compliance requirements. Facilitates physician contracting process and assists leaders in negotiations. Assures that all information is processed accurately and timely, and in compliance with all requirements/regulations.
  • Provides coaching and mentoring to entry level team members. Participates in career fairs or other recruiting-related events.
Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent Human Resources, Business, Healthcare related
  • 5 years of relevant experience in recruiting, staffing, broad range of physician or other difficult to fill positions, innovative sourcing techniques of passive candidates, supervisory, lead recruiter, recruiting physicians, non-physician providers, health care executives, project management, onboarding process, or similarly difficult-to-recruit positions into a complex organization

Preferred

  • 2 years of relevant experience Working specifically with physicians or medical practices
