Job description

Workplace Type: On-Site

Compensation: This is a salaried position with eligibility for commission-based incentives.

At Angels of Care Pediatric Home Health, our clinicians are at the heart of the care we provide to medically complex children and young adults. The Recruiting Team Lead plays a critical role in supporting, coaching, and guiding the recruiting team as they attract, engage, place, and support exceptional nurses who align with our mission and HALOS values, while helping ensure new and existing client needs are staffed with qualified, reliable clinicians.

This is not a traditional recruiting leadership role. This position combines recruiting team leadership, candidate throughput management, staffing coordination, operational execution, coaching, and cross-functional partnership. Team members in this role support Clinical Recruiters and Recruiting Administrators in moving clinicians through the full recruitment lifecycle, from initial engagement through onboarding and successful first shift placement, while partnering closely with branch operations and recruiting leadership to support staffing and growth goals.

The ideal candidate is proactive, solutions-focused, highly organized, fast-paced, operationally minded, and able to lead with urgency, communication, accountability, and a strong commitment to supporting high-quality patient care.

In this role, you will:
  • Lead day-to-day recruiting team execution by monitoring recruiting activity, candidate progression, staffing priorities, and overall team productivity.
  • Support Clinical Recruiters and Recruiting Administrators as they move clinicians from initial engagement through onboarding and successful first shift placement.
  • Coach recruiters on urgency, candidate communication, follow-through, clinician relationship-building, and ownership of staffing outcomes.
  • Partner closely with branch teams regarding staffing priorities, urgent needs, schedule changes, clinician placement, and need-to-hire challenges.
  • Monitor regional staffing needs and support branch staffing success by helping drive timely placement of qualified, reliable clinicians for new and existing client needs.
  • Identify process gaps, delays, or barriers in recruiting, onboarding, documentation, or staffing workflows and partner with recruiting and operations leadership to implement solutions.
  • Review team metrics, activity trends, starts, first shifts, candidate movement, and follow-up patterns to support accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Help ensure consistent execution of recruiting processes, documentation standards, communication expectations, and company procedures.
  • Support a positive, collaborative, and high-accountability team environment that reflects Angels of Care’s HALOS values.
  • Model urgency, professionalism, ownership, and strong communication in daily interactions with recruiters, administrators, branch teams, candidates, and leadership.
Qualifications:
  • 2+ years of experience in recruiting, staffing, scheduling, operations coordination, workforce coordination, account management, or another high-volume, relationship-based role
  • Prior team lead, coaching, supervisory, or people leadership experience
  • Experience working in fast-paced, high-volume operational environments and managing multiple competing priorities simultaneously
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to coach, follow up, resolve barriers, and drive accountability
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and support shared staffing or operational goals
  • Comfortable reviewing metrics, identifying trends, and using data to support team performance and operational decisions
  • Experience supporting candidate progression, staffing needs, onboarding, placement, or workforce coordination preferred
  • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience) in Business, Healthcare Administration, Communications, Management, Marketing, or related field preferred
