Specialized Foster Care FH Recruitment Supervisor
Summary:
The Foster Home Recruitment and Retention Supervisor is responsible for overseeing foster home recruitment, the approval and re-approval of homes, pre-service and annual foster parent training, and retention efforts in compliance with Inspiritus, RCCL, and OPM standards. This role also provides supervision to recruiters and contractors and is responsible for coordinating and managing recruitment activities statewide.
Position Details:
  • Full Time position
  • Department - Specialized Foster Care
  • Reports to Director of Children and Family Services or designee
  • Located in Atlanta
  • Remote with some travel required, Travel (0 - 25%)
  • Monday through Friday; 8:30AM - 5:00PM
  • Annual Compensation - $55,000-$60,000 annually

Responsibilities:
  • Competent in the INSPIRITUS approval process and requirements of foster families in addition to being knowledgeable of OPM, RCCL, and COA policies that govern the approval of foster families.
  • Coordinate the recruitment of foster homes, by receiving calls from inquirers, setting up interviews or orientation, sending and receiving foster parent documents, and all other steps that lead to foster home approval.
  • Manage the tracking and compile the statistical reports related to foster home recruitment and maintenance and be able to present the information in written form.
  • Develop and execute a recruitment strategy in order to expand the capacity of foster care program in Metro Atlanta Region, Rome Region and any other area the agency determines it will provide this service.
  • Manage the flow of potential applicants through the Inspiritus phase system and coordinate related activities.
  • Supervise recruiters and contractors by providing directions on requirements for both initial home approval and annual approval tasks.
  • Ensure the provision of foster parent training; pre-service and annual.
  • Set and ensure recruitment and retention goals are met annually.
  • Be a positive factor in public relations by representing the agency well in contact with applicants and others from the community.
  • Establish contacts with community-based organizations to promote and educate the community about the need for foster families at INSPIRITUS.
  • In conjunction with foster care team, engage current foster families in a supportive role.
  • Be involved in the activities of the agency's quality assurance program when applicable, i.e. ensuring agency policies reflect updated OPM, RCCL, and COA standards.
  • Plan and participate in training, appreciation and holiday events for foster families, in collaboration with foster care team.
  • Participate in or facilitate other activities as deemed necessary by the Executive Director and Assistant Director of Children and Family Services, when applicable.
  • Other duties as assigned by Supervisor.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university in human services or related field with a minimum of two years' experience in foster home recruitment. Master's degree preferred.
  • Have current SAFE Certification
  • Have current NTDC Certification
  • Possess excellent assessment skills and sound judgment.
  • Experienced working with extendedReach, Ga Score, Ga SHINES databases.
  • Own, drive, and maintain an automobile in good working condition, receiving a reimbursement for agency business mileage.
  • Flexibility. This job will require some evening and weekend hours and some after-hour, on-call responsibilities.
  • Be proficient in Microsoft Office (outlook, word, excel, power point)
  • Be organized and detailed oriented.
  • Possess and demonstrate superior oral and written communication skills. Graduate level grammar, usage, and spelling; writing style, and presentation are minimum expectations.
  • Be able to work in collaboration.
  • Understand and practice the use of confidentiality.
  • Have sound decision-making skills.
