About The Difference Card

The Difference Card is transforming the employee benefits industry by helping employers reduce healthcare costs while delivering a better healthcare experience. As a fast-growing, private equity-backed organization, we're investing in exceptional talent to support our next phase of growth.

The Opportunity

We're looking for our first dedicated Talent Acquisition Lead to build and scale a best-in-class recruiting function. Reporting to the Vice President of Human Resources, you'll be a key member of the HR team and partner closely with leaders across the business to attract exceptional talent.

This is a true builder role. You'll own full-cycle recruiting while designing scalable processes, selecting the right recruiting technology, building talent pipelines, and establishing best practices that support our continued growth. Initially, this is a team of one, with the opportunity to build and lead a larger Talent Acquisition function as the company grows.

With more than 30 hires planned through year-end, and continued hiring beyond, you'll have a direct impact on the future of The Difference Card.

What You'll Do

  • Lead full-cycle recruiting across a wide variety of corporate, commercial, operations, technology, and leadership roles.
  • Build the Talent Acquisition function from the ground up, including recruiting processes, interview standards, and hiring best practices.
  • Partner closely with hiring managers to develop recruiting strategies and deliver exceptional hiring experience.
  • Build proactive talent pipelines for current and future hiring needs.
  • Evaluate, recommend, and implement our recruiting technology stack, including an Applicant Tracking System (ATS), job boards, AI-enabled recruiting technologies, and other platforms.
  • Establish and manage relationships with external search firms for specialized searches.
  • Develop recruiting metrics and reporting to improve hiring outcomes, efficiency, & quality of hire.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to leaders on hiring strategy, workforce planning, market trends, and talent availability.
  • Help strengthen The Difference Card's employer brand and recruiting presence in the marketplace.

What We're Looking For

  • 5+ years of progressive Talent Acquisition experience in a high-growth environment.
  • Experience building or significantly transforming a recruiting function from the ground up.
  • Proven success managing a high-volume recruiting workload while maintaining an exceptional candidate and hiring manager experience.
  • Experience implementing or optimizing an Applicant Tracking System (ATS).
  • Strong sourcing, interviewing, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience partnering with executives and hiring managers across multiple business functions.
  • A builder's mindset: you enjoy creating structure, improving processes, and scaling for growth.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and project management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting a private equity-backed, high-growth, or rapidly scaling organization.
  • Experience recruiting across healthcare, employee benefits, insurance, healthcare technology, SaaS, or other B2B services industries.
  • Experience leveraging modern recruiting technologies, AI-enabled sourcing tools, and data-driven recruiting strategies.

What Success Looks Like in Your First 12 Months

  • Successfully recruit and hire 30+ positions while delivering an exceptional candidate and hiring manager experience.
  • Build a scalable Talent Acquisition function with consistent recruiting processes, interview practices, and hiring standards.
  • Select and implement an Applicant Tracking System (ATS) and recommend a full recruiting technology stack that meets business needs.
  • Establish strong partnerships with hiring managers and become a trusted advisor on talent strategy and market trends.
  • Develop proactive talent pipelines that support both current hiring needs and future growth.
  • Create recruiting metrics and reporting that provide meaningful insights into hiring performance, time-to-fill, and quality of hire.
  • Lay the foundation to grow and lead the Talent Acquisition function as the company continues to scale.

Compensation

Target total cash compensation is $125,000–$145,000, including base salary and annual performance bonus. Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, skills, and geographic location.

Why Join The Difference Card?

This is an opportunity to build something meaningful. You'll have executive visibility, influence how we hire, and help shape the future of a rapidly growing company. If you're energized by creating a best-in-class Talent Acquisition function while remaining hands-on in recruiting, we'd love to hear from you.

Location: Remote with approximately 10–15% travel required for leadership meetings, team events, and key hiring initiatives.
