Job description

The Talent Acquisition Specialist plays a key role in attracting, hiring, and onboarding talent to support DFM Solutions' continued growth and operations. This position manages full-cycle recruiting and onboarding for a diverse range of roles, including high-volume hourly operations, skilled trades and maintenance professionals, and salaried team members.

Working closely with People Services, site operations, and hiring managers, the Talent Acquisition Specialist manages recruiting activities within Paycor, coordinates pre-employment requirements and offers, and helps ensure an efficient, responsive, and positive experience from candidate selection through the new hire's first day.

Primary Goals and Responsibilities (include but not limited to)
  • Manage full-cycle recruiting for assigned positions, partnering with site operations leaders and hiring managers to understand staffing needs, position requirements, and hiring priorities.
  • Recruit for hourly union and non-union operations positions, skilled trades and maintenance roles, and salaried professional and leadership positions.
  • Source, screen, and recommend qualified candidates using Paycor Recruiting, job boards, employee referrals, networking, trade schools, community partnerships, and other recruiting channels.
  • Develop candidate pipelines for recurring, high-volume, skilled trades, and difficult-to-fill positions.
  • Coordinate interviews and maintain timely communication with candidates and hiring managers throughout the selection process.
  • Maintain job postings, requisitions, and candidate information within Paycor Recruiting while supporting hiring needs associated with business growth, customer launches, and high-volume staffing initiatives.
Hiring & Onboarding
  • Coordinate offer details and required approvals with hiring managers and People Services leadership, prepare offer letters, and communicate next steps to candidates.
  • Initiate and monitor pre-employment requirements, including background checks, drug screenings, employment verifications, and other position-specific requirements.
  • Manage new hire onboarding through Paycor and ensure required documentation and pre-employment activities are completed timely.
  • Coordinate with site operations and internal teams to ensure new hires receive appropriate first-day information and are prepared for a successful start.
  • Proactively resolve issues that could delay hiring or start dates while maintaining accurate recruiting and onboarding records.
Operations Partnership
  • Serve as a primary recruiting partner to site operations, providing timely updates on open positions, candidate pipelines, interviews, offers, and onboarding status.
  • Build strong relationships with site leaders and hiring managers and develop an understanding of each location's operations and workforce needs.
  • Provide guidance throughout the recruiting process to support timely and informed hiring decisions.
  • Maintain a sense of urgency and consistent follow-through to keep hiring processes moving and support operational staffing needs.
  • Deliver a professional, responsive, and welcoming candidate experience throughout the recruiting and onboarding process.
  • Travel to DFM locations as needed to support hiring initiatives, customer launches, recruiting events, and high-volume staffing needs.
  • Coordinate DFM's employee referral process, including referral tracking, eligibility, and applicable payments.
  • Develop relationships with trade schools, technical programs, workforce organizations, colleges, and community partners to strengthen talent pipelines.
  • Support career fairs, hiring events, recruiting campaigns, and other talent acquisition initiatives.
  • Track recruiting activity and key metrics, including open requisitions, time-to-fill, candidate pipelines, source of hire, offers, and onboarding status.
  • Identify and implement opportunities to improve recruiting processes, candidate communication, hiring manager support, and the overall new hire experience.
  • Participate in People Services projects, business growth initiatives, and continuous improvement efforts.
Role Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience will be considered.
  • 3+ years of recruiting, talent acquisition, or related Human Resources experience preferred.
  • Experience managing multiple requisitions and candidates in a fast-paced, high-volume recruiting environment.
  • Experience recruiting hourly operations, skilled trades, facilities management, manufacturing, industrial, or similar positions strongly preferred.
  • Experience recruiting both hourly and salaried positions preferred; experience supporting union and non-union workforces is a plus.
  • Experience with applicant tracking and HRIS systems required; Paycor experience preferred.
  • Strong relationship-building and communication skills with the ability to effectively partner with site operations, hiring managers, candidates, and leadership.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Strong sense of urgency, accountability, and follow-through.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with People Services and Operations.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment.
  • Ability to travel periodically to support DFM locations and recruiting initiatives.
