Responsibilities

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Knowledge Manager to support the 363rd Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance Wing (363 ISRW) at Joint Base Langley-Eustis (JBLE).  The Knowledge Manager will play a critical role in managing, organizing, and optimizing information and knowledge-sharing processes to enhance mission effectiveness. This position requires expertise in knowledge management systems, collaboration tools, and the ability to streamline workflows to support intelligence and operational objectives. 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Develop and implement knowledge management strategies to ensure the efficient organization, storage, and retrieval of mission-critical information. 
  • Manage and maintain knowledge repositories, ensuring data accuracy, accessibility, and security. 
  • Facilitate collaboration and information sharing across teams, units, and stakeholders to enhance decision-making and operational efficiency. 
  • Identify and address gaps in knowledge-sharing processes, recommending and implementing solutions to improve workflows. 
  • Provide training and support to personnel on the use of knowledge management tools and systems. 
  • Develop and deliver reports, dashboards, and metrics to track the effectiveness of knowledge management initiatives. 
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including analysts, mission planners, and leadership, to align knowledge management efforts with mission priorities. 
  • Ensure compliance with all security protocols, classification guidelines, and organizational policies. 
Qualifications

Required Qualifications: 

  • Experience / Education: 9 years w/o a degree or 7 years with AS/AA or 5 years with BS/BA or 3 years with MS/MA or 1 year with PhD
  • DOD 8140 compliance based on DCWF code 431 Intermediate Level
  • Technical Expertise: 
  • Proficiency in knowledge management systems, collaboration tools, and information-sharing platforms. 
  • Familiarity with tools such as SharePoint, Confluence, or other enterprise knowledge management solutions. 
  • Strong understanding of data organization, taxonomy, and metadata management. 
  • Skills: 
  • Exceptional organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills. 
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for producing reports and training materials. 
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment. 
  • Security Clearance: Active Top Secret/SCI clearance is required. 

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Experience supporting the 363 ISRW or similar organizations. 
  • Knowledge of intelligence operations and information-sharing requirements. 
  • Familiarity with advanced knowledge management tools and methodologies. 
  • Certifications such as Certified Knowledge Manager (CKM) or equivalent. 
  • Experience Level: At least 6 years of experience conducting analysis relevant to the specific labor category with at least a portion of the experience within the last 2 years.
  • Required Education: Bachelor's degree from a college or university accredited by an agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education or have associate's degree from a college or university accredited by an agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education and an additional 4 years of related experience, for a total of 10 years, as a substitute to the bachelor's degree.

Target Salary Range$66,000 - $106,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual's experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations.
