Job description

Salary: $35.72 per hour

*This is a 6-month contract position paid through a third party company.*


Duties

  • Develop creative, proactive sourcing strategies utilizing advanced search methods, social media and professional networks.
  • Identify and engage with top professionals who may not be actively looking for a job.
  • Review potential leads and initiate phone calls to assess interest levels.
  • Conduct phone screens to determine individual qualifications in relation with open positions.
  • Work alongside talent acquisition specialist with panel interviews through the onboarding process.
  • Must perform duties in a safe, professional, and courteous manner to promote a positive image of the road commission for Oakland County.
  • Requires a daily schedule that supports RCOC hours of operation.
  • Regular and predictable onsite job attendance is an essential function of this position.


Special Experience/Education

  • Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university with a major in Human Resources Development, Human Resource Administration, Education or related field.
  • Must have at least 5 years of full-time experience with active recruiting.
  • Possess strong planning, organizational and written/verbal communication skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Experience in hiring union employees or engineers (civil) a plus.
  • Must possess and maintain a valid state of Michigan drivers license.
