Position Summary

Theย Instructional Designerย will leverage instructional design and multimedia expertise to analyze, design, develop, implement, evaluate, and maintain high-quality training curriculum and content. This role supports organizational learning by creating engaging eLearning modules, facilitator guides, job aids, and other instructional resources.

The ideal candidate applies proven instructional design theories, practices, and methodologies, and collaborates closely with customers and stakeholders to define learning and performance objectives that drive measurable results.


Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and develop curriculum and training programs, including learner goals, objectives, content design, instructional strategies, delivery formats, and learning media
  • Design and develop instructor-led training, eLearning modules, web-based learning aids, and other instructional materials
  • Apply instructional design best practices and adult learning principles across classroom and digital learning environments
  • Execute project plans, manage timelines, and deliver learning projects on time and within budget
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs), instructors, customers, and business leaders to develop effective training materials
  • Ensure online learning materials meet system requirements and accessibility standards
  • Upload, organize, and maintain course documentation and materials in SharePoint and Learning Management Systems (LMS)
  • Maintain and update existing courses based on customer needs or governance requirements
  • Manage multiple projects independently with minimal supervision
  • Research and recommend innovative learning technologies and instructional approaches for continuous improvement
  • Provide leadership to project teams when appropriate and report on progress and outcomes

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in a related field (preferred)
  • Experience with instructional authoring tools (e.g.,ย Articulate 360) and multimedia/animation software
  • Experience managing projects and meeting deadlines
  • Proficiency withย Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
  • Strong facilitation, presentation, and relationship-management skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Training experience (formal or informal) in:
  • Power generation
  • Power delivery or transmission
  • Construction or related industries
  • Experience withย Adobe Creative Cloud, narration software, and AI-enabled instructional design tools
  • Experience or proficiency withย Learning Management Systems (LMS)
  • Experience working in collaborative, team-oriented environments with minimal supervision
