Job description

BigFoot Staffing is seeking a Training Content Developer on behalf of our client, a well-established industrial equipment and service company. This is a great opportunity for a creative, curious, and highly organized content developer who knows how to take complex technical information and turn it into training that people can actually understand, use, and remember.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys asking smart questions, working with subject matter experts, building engaging learning materials, and producing polished video and digital training content. You’ll be helping capture important knowledge across the organization and turn it into clear resources that support employees, customers, and internal teams.

About the Role:

Our client is looking for an energetic self-starter to support the development of training programs, safety videos, instructional resources, presentations, and learning materials used across the company.

A big part of this role will involve working directly with trainers, managers, field experts, and other subject matter experts to understand processes, identify training gaps, and transform that information into useful learning content. This may include:

  • Interviewing internal experts and gathering important knowledge
  • Organizing technical information into clear training flows
  • Creating scripts, outlines, storyboards, and presentations
  • Editing and producing training videos
  • Developing resources for online, in-person, and blended learning
  • Supporting safety training, project introductions, and employee development content

The right person will bring a mix of creativity, communication skills, technical curiosity, and strong production ability. Experience with Adobe Premiere Pro is especially important, as video creation and editing will be a key part of the position.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop engaging training courses with clear learning objectives, organized content, and practical takeaways.
  • Create instructional materials for online, classroom, and blended learning environments.
  • Interview and collaborate with subject matter experts to gather information, clarify technical concepts, and identify the best way to teach key topics.
  • Translate complex information into clear, accessible training materials, videos, presentations, job aids, and learning resources.
  • Capture, edit, and produce video, audio, and other media-based training content.
  • Create scripts, outlines, storyboards, and visual learning flows to support training development.
  • Support the creation of safety videos, project introduction materials, internal learning resources, and employee development content.
  • Review and improve existing training materials to make them more engaging, interactive, and effective.
  • Upload, organize, and update course content within the company’s Learning Management System.
  • Manage multiple content development projects while staying organized, communicative, and deadline-focused.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent work experience.
  • 2+ years of instructional development, training content development, multimedia learning, or related experience.
  • Strong understanding of instructional design, adult learning principles, and how to build content that supports real-world learning.
  • Advanced proficiency with Adobe Premiere Pro and experience producing polished video content.
  • Experience with camera work, audio editing, lighting, storyboarding, and video production workflows.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Strong interviewing, listening, and communication skills, with the ability to pull useful information from subject matter experts and turn it into clear training content.
  • Ability to organize complex information into simple, engaging, and easy-to-follow learning materials.
  • Creative problem-solving skills and the ability to bring energy and fresh ideas to training content.
  • Strong attention to detail, follow-through, and ability to manage multiple projects at once.

Work Environment:

This role is primarily computer-based and may require extended periods of sitting, along with occasional movement through work areas to gather information, capture content, or collaborate with internal teams. Candidates should be able to lift up to 25 pounds as needed.

Compensation & Employment Details:

  • Pay range: $29 - $36 per hour, depending on experience.
  • Temporary contract position expected to last approximately 9–12 months.
  • The company sees long-term potential for this role and may consider converting it to a permanent position based on business needs, performance, and overall fit.
  • Our client is a second chance employer, and individuals with criminal records are encouraged to apply.

If you are a creative training professional who enjoys turning expert knowledge into engaging learning content, we’d love to hear from you. Apply today to be considered for the Training Content Developer role.
