Position: Document Control Aide

Location:ย 900 Old Augusta Central Rd., Rincon, GA 31326 ONSITE
Duration:ย Temporary โ€“ย 1 to 3 monthsย (duration may vary based on project scope)

Position Summary

Theย Document Control Aideย provides short-term support for organizing, researching, and maintainingย engineering recordsย within a plant file room environment. This role focuses on clearing, organizing, and digitizing or boxing engineering drawings and vendor documentation stored on moveable shelving units.

The ideal candidate has prior experience withย engineering records or document control, strong attention to detail, and is comfortable performingย hands-on file room workย in an industrial or plant setting.


Primary Responsibilities

Document Control & Records Management

  • Organize and manageย engineering drawings and vendor documentationย within the plant file room
  • Conduct detailed research using theย records management systemย to locate and verify documents
  • Ensure accurateย data entryย and documentation updates
  • Support cleanup, consolidation, and boxing of historical engineering records

File Room Operations

  • Retrieve, organize, and box engineering files stored onย moveable shelving units
  • Lift and relocate boxes weighing up toย 25 lbs.
  • Use aย step ladder or stoolย as needed to access higher shelving
  • Maintain orderly file room layout and labeling

Collaboration & Administration

  • Collaborate regularly withย plant personnel, document control teams, and records management staff
  • Follow guidance and established records management procedures
  • Maintain accurateย personal timekeepingย using the companyโ€™s timekeeping system

Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experienceย working with document control or engineering records
  • Familiarity withย engineering drawings and vendor documentation
  • Foundational understanding ofย records management practices
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Comfortable performingย physical tasksย in a file room environment
  • Ability to follow procedures and work independently when required

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift and move boxes up toย 25 lbs.
