Job description

Job Title: Document Clerk
Location: Savannah, GA 
Schedule: Mon - Fri / Option for 9-5 or 9 x 80 schedule
Duration: 1-2 Years (Possibility of extension)

Key Responsibilities
Assist the engineering team in identifying necessary project files for retention.
Scan and digitize project documents, storing them in a structured document management system (Meridian).
Administer the review and approval process for controlled documents.
Manage filing and retention of controlled records in compliance with company standards.
Support engineering personnel with document creation, records filing, and retention activities.
Create and manage document import packages for system integration.

Position Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent.
1-2 years of experience in document control and/or records management, including familiarity with filing systems such as SharePoint, Windows directories, and Excel.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite for reviewing and manipulating document data.
Experience using Meridian Document Management System or similar platforms is strongly preferred.
Knowledge of document management systems in an engineering or operations environment is an asset.
Strong understanding of document control principles.
Excellent organizational and communication skills.
Ability to multitask and maintain accurate records.
