Job description

AIPSO is a management organization and service provider for various insurance industry groups responsible for administering the residual market. We are a national organization that serves local customer needs. Centralization and standardization are key to many AIPSO services because of the inherent economies of scale and other efficiencies.

However, our organization is based on customer focus and recognizes the need for flexibility in serving customer groups with diverse interests. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Research and respond to telephone and written inquiries and general correspondence from insureds, producers, attorneys, insurance companies, law enforcement authorities, Department of Banking and Insurance representatives, Department of Motor Vehicles representatives, and other professionals regarding Plan rules and regulations and assignment and producer certification information. Handle various correspondence (policy change/cancellation requests, producer address changes, certification requests, etc.); including calls related to manuals, EASi inquiries, etc

Log company and producer performance violation complaints. Search company records to obtain information requested by customer. Interpret plan manual rules and regulations to answer inquiries.

Respond to telephone, live Chat, and written inquiries regarding payment procedures, problems, and coverage verification. Application processing to include checking applications and keying into data entry APS system, filings and importing/exporting daily batch files and printing related reports, as necessary. Mail processing to include handling correspondence from multiple mailboxes, filing application copies, producer certification files, producer complaint forms, and other correspondence.

Answer telephone, directing calls to proper individuals. Make calls to customers as needed. Education: High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.

Two-year degree from a technical school helpful. Additional appropriate experience may be considered in lieu of a degree. Experience: 2 or more years of related experience and/or training in customer service preferred.

Experience with residual market regulations and procedures, NY AIP Plan Manuals helpful. Skills/Knowledge: Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office productivity tools (e.g., Outlook, Word, Excel) and Adobe to manage work. Effective problem-solving skills, including ability to analyze complex issues, find the root cause of the problem, and consider a wide range of alternatives before acting

Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups or individuals. Strong ability to multi-task and demonstrate flexibility while maintaining attention to detail. Demonstrate excellent organizational skills.

Ability to work independently and interact professionally and effectively in a team environment. Knowledge of insurance industry, particularly automobile insurance preferred. Demonstrated exceptional analytical, organizational, and research skills.

Salary Range: $38,000 - $60,800/$45,100 - $72,100 Annual. Actual salary for this position will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity, and location of the role as well as the cost of labor in the market; the skills, education, training, credentials, and experience of the candidate; internal equity and other conditions of employment.
