Customer Service Representative I

Abby's Catering is seeking a Customer Service Representative (CSR) to serve as a key point of contact between our customers and our production and operations teams.

The CSR receives and processes customer orders, ensures all order details and special requests are accurately documented, and communicates requirements to the appropriate departments. This position requires strong attention to detail, organization, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced aviation catering environment.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Receive and process customer orders accurately and efficiently
  • Communicate order details, changes, and special requests to production and operations
  • Maintain accurate customer and order information
  • Provide professional and timely customer service by phone and email
  • Review menus, specifications, diagrams, and loading instructions
  • Coordinate with internal departments to ensure customer requirements are met
  • Resolve customer concerns and order discrepancies promptly
  • Manage multiple priorities and changing deadlines
  • Assist with additional operational needs as required

This is a fast-paced operation with early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Schedule flexibility is required.

Qualifications/job requirements include:

  • 1–2 years of customer service experience, preferably in food service, hospitality, catering, aviation, or a related environment
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong phone and email etiquette
  • Ability to read and interpret menus, diagrams, specifications, and loading instructions
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • QuickBooks experience is a plus
  • Food service or culinary knowledge preferred
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards preferred
  • Food Handler Certification required or ability to obtain upon hire
  • Valid driver's license
  • English proficiency required; bilingual English/Spanish is a plus
  • Dependable, proactive, and able to work effectively as part of a team
  • Must be available to work a flexible schedule based on operational needs
