Job description

Overview

The Accountant is responsible for analyzing, forecasting, and reporting data for the Commissions Accounting function. This role performs monthly close duties including preparing forecast analysis reports, proposing appropriate accrual journals, and completing all assigned account reconciliations in a timely manner.

This position will be in person in Tulsa, OK with the option to work a hybrid schedule. Working hours will be Monday through Friday with an 8 hour set schedule.

Responsibilities
  • Perform monthly close duties including preparing forecast analysis reports, proposing appropriate accrual journals, and completing all assigned account reconciliations in a timely manner
  • Perform audit control tasks and query the rental database to generate reports supporting compliance and operational insight
  • Analyze and maintain commission and rebate accounts in applicable system, ensuring appropriate accrual is booked to the general ledger
  • Coordinator with various finance, sales, and marketing departments to identify new contractual commission structures, obtain current contracts, and understand trends in the industry that may affect accrual methods
  • Assist with managing and resolving inbound commission payment inquiries from internal and external customers
  • Identify opportunities for improvement and/or cross training for the team
  • Seek to improve job performance through self-assessment, skill development, training and goal setting
  • Maintain a regular and reliable level of attendance and punctuality
  • Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance required
  • PeopleSoft knowledge is a plus
  • Intermediate working knowledge of Excel required
  • Access preferred
  • Apart from religious observations, must be able to work Monday-Friday 40 hours/ work week
  • Must be willing to accept starting pay of $24.76/hour.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States and not require work authorization sponsorship by our company for this position now or in the future.
