PRIMARY PURPOSE:Processes and reviews subrogation claims across all lines of business and all jurisdictions within an entry level caseload and processes payment checks received in accordance with company check processing guidelines; processes the regular monthly payment recovery files; coordinates with collection agencies; and supports the Claims Recovery Team within company standards and industry best practices.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS and RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for assigned inventory of subrogation files with recovery.

  • Maintains a monthly diary on cadence, aligned to department service expectations and schedules; follows up to ensure timely payment.

  • Processes recoveries into various claims systems to ensure the recovery dollars are applied to appropriate claims file.

  • Works with collections agencies when appropriate to collect from at-fault parties and records details in claims file.

  • Uses technology and resources, as needed, to complete investigation.

  • Responds to clients' questions timely and professionally.

  • Approves and/or pays bills as appropriate.

  • Prepares various type status reports for clients.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education & Licensing
High school diploma or GED required.

Experience
Two (2) years of general office experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required. Claims industry experience preferred.

  • PC literate, including Microsoft Office products

  • Analytical and interpretive skills
