About the role:

The EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) Medical Claims Coordinator is responsible for monitoring and managing the EDI System (Waystar) for rejected claims submissions.  They will work closely with internal and external partners, along with healthcare providers and payors to resolve any issues and resubmit the claim for processing.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Process and adjudicate claims, resolving any data discrepancies or missing information
  • Build and maintain relationships with internal departments, insurance companies, and healthcare providers
  • Stay up to date with payor and regulatory requirements 

As an EDI Medical Claims Coordinator, you bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Healthcare Administration, or other related fields (preferred)
  • 1+ year of revenue cycle experience in a healthcare setting
  • 1+ year of quality assurance, auditing, compliance, and/or process improvement in a healthcare setting
  • Intermediate / Advanced Excel skills
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
