Job description

Description:

We’re looking for an Account Supervisor to lead and deliver the exceptional work that clients expect from our agency. Account Supervisors should have at least 5–10 years of experience leading client accounts and developing comprehensive marketing strategies, with a proven track record of running business within an agency or agency-like environment.

About You

You’re a leader who’s all about the details — those little things that usually go unnoticed — no matter how many conversations and versions and updates are up in the air. You can dive into the business side of an ask just as comfortably as you can advocate for great creative. And of course, your projects are always on strategy, on budget and on time.

About Us

We’re a full-service agency with offices in Des Moines, Sioux Falls and Portland. At the heart of our success has always been human creativity. The role of brilliant individuals, and their original ideas, remains just as relevant today as when we opened our doors 40 years ago. That’s why we continue to take care of our own like we take care of our clients.

Responsibilities

  • Can independently manage and lead a book of business for various clients, simultaneously handling multiple client requests and nurturing relationships.
  • A proactive driver of work, a proven activator of ideas, and teams of people to deliver on the various implementation needs — someone who can look ahead and anticipate future challenges.
  • Ability to develop comprehensive marketing and advertising strategies that effectively utilize all paid, earned, and owned channels.
  • Produce significant client initiatives, including multi-year client strategies, campaign planning and budgeting — all while collaborating with other agency departments like media, research, creative, video, direct response and accounting.
  • Juggle several tasks, often overlapping, while ensuring quality and exceeding expectations.
  • Represent the agency with remarkable results and professional demeanor.
  • Identify when a process or project has started to go awry and know how to get it back on track.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of business experience.
  • Great communication skills, proactive problem-solving mindset and eagerness to learn about the business of our clients.
  • Comprehensive knowledge on core competencies like media placement, the role of research, interactive design and direct consumer response approaches.
  • Ability to multitask in the middle of chaos, making sure creative is sharp and clients are happy.
  • Willingness to do more than just take orders from the client.
  • Comfort and familiarity with creative work to 1) recognize when an idea can be better, and 2) know how to push for it.

Perks + Benefits

  • Office in the heart of downtown — steps away from art, culture and some of the city’s best spots for coffee, lunch and happy hour.
  • Free downtown parking.
  • Comprehensive plans for group health, dental, vision and life insurance.
  • 401k with company match.
  • Plenty of Personal Time Off (PTO), plus paid holidays.
  • Potential for bonuses based on success of agency.
  • Even more money for Employee Referral Program.
  • Extracurriculars that tend to be historic events.
