The Account Manager assists the Account Director in the daily servicing of clients and supports other agency activities as needed, helping to ensure that events and projects meet internal and external goals. Assist in the planning, coordination and support - both remote and on-site - of client events, including conferences, advisory boards, dinner meetings and other events.
Source, evaluate and help secure venues, vendors and event services, managing logistics from initial planning through on-site delivery and post-event wrap-up. Provide one-on-one support to client team members on system utilization and event management. Ensure that internal execution teams are well informed, knowledgeable and enabled for success, working closely with creative, logistics and technical teams to coordinate and help guide event direction. The Account Manager helps to represent the client and their needs in internal conversations, working well with all team members. Ultimately, the Account Manager is working toward independent management of assigned client events.
Job Responsibilities
  • Become familiar with assigned clients and their products, services and event goals.
  • Provide general support to the Account Service team.
  • Manage weekly status calls and one-on-ones with clients.
  • Lead client trainings with minimal oversight.
  • Research, source and help procure venues, negotiating availability, pricing and contracts within budget.
  • Coordinate event logistics including F&B, AV, and other needs.
  • Manage vendor relationships and timelines across the full event lifecycle.
  • Support on-site event execution and troubleshoot issues in real time.
  • Review and proof event materials, agendas, signage and related assets.
  • Track event budgets and reconcile costs post-event.

Travel Expectations
The Account Manager is expected to travel to support venue site visits, pre-event walkthroughs and live event execution.
  • Approximately 10% travel, varying by event calendar and seasonal peaks.
  • Includes occasional evenings, weekends and multi-day event coverage.

Desired Skills and Experience
Passionate team-player. Detail oriented, quick learner. Delivering white-glove service to clients in all aspects of the role. Organized, self-reliant and capable of working under pressure. Desire to be a contributing member of the team.
  • 2+ years of relevant work experience, preferably at least 1 year in an agency or event management environment.
  • Experience with venue sourcing or event logistics preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Attention to detail, action-oriented and able to effectively multi-task in a deadline-driven atmosphere.
  • Project and event management skills.
  • Resourceful and able to work autonomously when required.
  • Willingness to travel and work on-site at events, including occasional evenings and weekends.
  • Advanced verbal, written and client communication skills.
  • Bachelor's degree.
