Job description

Focal Pointe is seeking an experienced, relationship-driven professional to serve as an Account Manager. This individual will be the primary point of contact for an assigned portfolio of clients and will be responsible for building strong partnerships, maintaining client satisfaction, and identifying opportunities to enhance the properties we serve.

This is an ideal opportunity for someone with experience in commercial account management, property management, hospitality, or professional client services who enjoys developing long-term relationships and delivering thoughtful solutions. Landscape industry experience is highly valued.

What You’ll Do
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned commercial clients
  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting client relationships
  • Visit client properties regularly to monitor service quality and proactively address concerns
  • Anticipate client needs and communicate recommendations before issues arise
  • Identify and present landscape improvement opportunities that add value, improve efficiency, or enhance the client experience
  • Develop proposals and achieve established enhancement sales goals through consultative, relationship-focused conversations
  • Negotiate and manage landscape maintenance contracts and enhancement projects
  • Facilitate budget-planning conversations to help clients prepare for operating expenses and capital improvement projects
  • Collaborate closely with Operations Managers to ensure field teams have the information, resources, and support needed to deliver exceptional results
  • Partner with Accounts Receivable and clients to support timely account payments
  • Attend client meetings, networking events, and community functions
  • Participate in snow and ice management operations 
  • Travel within the assigned Focal Pointe territory, up to approximately 30%
  • Perform other responsibilities as needed to support clients and the branch
  What We’re Looking For
  • Three to five years of progressively responsible experience in commercial account management, property management, or a related client-facing field
  • Proven ability to develop and maintain professional client relationships
  • Experience managing contracts, client accounts, budgets, proposals, or service-based sales
  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Professional, friendly, authentic, and accommodating approach
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to resolve problems independently
  • Ability to prepare written proposals and reports and deliver professional presentations
  • Comfort learning cloud-based, industry-specific software for account management, maintenance services, and enhancement sales
  • Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and professional experience
  • Valid driver’s license and an approved driving record
Position Details
  • Full-time, on-site position reporting to the Branch Manager
  • Work is performed in the office and at client properties
  • Typical schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
  • Some schedule flexibility may be available with supervisor approval
  • Occasional overtime, evening, weekend, and daytime travel may be required
  • This position does not have direct supervisory responsibilities
Physical Requirements

This position includes a combination of office work, client meetings, property visits, and participation in indoor and outdoor events. The employee must be able to sit for extended periods, use standard office equipment, navigate client properties, participate in outreach activities, and lift or move up to 25 pounds.
