Scope:
The Production Supervisor will lead their team by safely producing high quality products on time for the customer, at effective costs. The supervisor will demonstrate leadership by promoting a positive attitude and creating a culture of accountability and job satisfaction. The production supervisor will oversee production of employees on their shift, assist in training to production employees as needed, planning and directing production work, and addressing/resolving issues within their shift.
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Promote safety, quality & compliance among the team while maintaining good manufacturing practices at a high level within the department through the involvement of all team members.
  • Enable a culture of Operational Excellence throughout the production line/area cross-functional team
  • Ensure effective two way communication within the production line/area cross-functional team
  • Recommend measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product
  • Ensure daily production goals are met
  • Communicate with Director of Operations and Production Managers to maintain workflow and notify of employee concerns
  • Study production schedules and estimate completion of job timelines
  • Dispatch personnel and equipment in all situations
  • Manage, motivate, develop and involve production associates through coaching and performance management.
  • Foster teamwork within the production line/area cross-functional team.
  • Embed the company values through demonstration & recognition of individual & team behaviors.
  • Effective recruitment, selection, training of new employees.
  • Schedules and assigns work within the unit to regulate workflow and meet required schedules.
  • Provides technical assistance and supervision throughout the unit.
  • Orders necessary supplies to perform jobs within the unit.
  • Ensures proper maintenance of unit equipment and tools.
  • Performs and/or assists in special projects as assigned.

Essential Knowledge and Skills:
  • Strong interpersonal/communication skills.
  • Problem solving and resolution aptitude
  • Recommend and implement improvements to processes increasing efficiency.
  • Mathematical ability sufficient to add, subtract, multiply, divide, and figure averages.
  • Ability to communicate effectively by telephone and in group meetings and discussions.
  • Ability to give and receive information accurately.
  • Ability to follow directions and procedures accurately; to organize facts and figures; apply basic arithmetic.
  • Microsoft Office and computer skills necessary.

Education and Experience:
  • One to three years experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • One to three years supervisory experience preferred

Compensation for roles at TTM Technologies varies depending on a wide array of factors including but not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set and level of experience. As required by local law, TTM provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in New York, California and Colorado. For California-based roles, compensation ranges are based upon specific physical locations.
