CDR ProSource is seeking a Production Supervisor - 1st Shift to join our team near Milford, IN. The ideal candidate is a motivated individual with strong work ethic, leadership ability, and a commitment to achieving results in a fast-paced production environment.
Job Details

Pay Rate: $70,000 annually
Schedule: 1st Shift – Sunday through Thursday
Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and direct production staff by coordinating daily activities, communicating expectations, and resolving operational issues
  • Ensure production efficiency, product quality, food safety, and employee safety within the department
  • Train, coach, evaluate, and discipline employees in accordance with company policies and procedures
  • Prepare for production by verifying equipment readiness, setting operational parameters, and ensuring proper production flow
  • Monitor production processes to ensure adherence to quality standards and take corrective action when needed
  • Evaluate operational performance including line speeds, staffing levels, and workflow efficiency
  • Collaborate with USDA personnel to address and resolve regulatory concerns
  • Partner with Quality Assurance to ensure compliance with food safety and quality standards, including pre-operational inspections
  • Ensure adherence to HACCP programs, SSOPs, and all regulatory and company policies
  • Coordinate employee training programs related to production, food safety, OSHA, and company procedures
  • Work cross-functionally to align production goals and operational needs
  • Partner with Human Resources on hiring, attendance, performance management, and disciplinary actions
  • Troubleshoot minor mechanical or operational issues and escalate when necessary
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives such as Lean and process improvements
  • Perform additional duties as required
Qualifications
  • Associate degree or equivalent experience preferred
  • 1–3 years of experience in production, manufacturing, or food processing required (poultry or protein industry preferred)
  • Prior leadership or supervisory experience preferred; strong leadership potential may be considered
  • Knowledge of food manufacturing processes, USDA regulations, HACCP, and SSOPs required
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and production systems (CAT2 or similar preferred)
  • Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Must be able to read, write, and speak English
  • Ability to maintain regular and reliable attendance
