DME Customer Service / Intake Specialist

We are seeking an intake coordinator to manage the registration process of patients, providers, & clients. Communicate with patients, discharge case managers, referral Sources (doctor’s office, case managers, nurses etc.) with a high level of customer service. Be able to document clearly, manage work time allocation to different duties with minimal supervision. Strong multitasking skills while prioritizing tasks with great organization and detail. Collaborate strongly with co-workers in a team setting. Have excellent phone communication skills
Responsibilities
- Demonstrate a Service First mentality as it relates to listening, supporting and meeting customer expectations
- Possess people skills with an emphasis on communications, planning and personal accountability
- Be detail oriented and capable of managing multiple tasks
- A front-line team member who interacts with our referrals and patients on the phone or via email.
- Recommending medical equipment to our clients and completing necessary documentations
- Verifying Insurance Coverage and Eligibility
- Filing, faxing, scanning and data entry
- Utilize our order processing system, to input referral information and manage orders up until the point of billing.
- Communicate with providers to request return of fully completed prescriptions and required but missing clinical documentation that is necessary to process an order according to the department/insurance payor's guidelines.
- Provide excellent customer service to patients, referral sources as well as our business partners; consistently communicating with the various parties involved with an order

- Able to work and multitask in a fast-paced environment; strong attention to detail is essential. Adapts well to new processes and technology.
- Willing to learn, grow and adapt effortlessly
- Have Strong PC skills and excellent written and verbal communication
- Strong sense of urgency and problem-solving skills.
Superior/excellent computer skills using remote access and a computer network; Microsoft Windows will be used. - The ability and acumen to understand software platforms and how to use them effectively. Eventual complete knowledge of these platforms is essential to be effective in this position. Platforms: Outlook, Teams, Excel
