Job description

Intake Specialist

The Intake Specialist plays a vital role in supporting patient access to care by coordinating referrals, reviewing clinical documentation, and ensuring services are set up accurately and efficiently. You'll work closely with patients, providers, referral sources, and internal teams to navigate insurance requirements, confirm eligibility, and move the intake process forward smoothly.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys detail-oriented work, patient communication, and collaborating across teams in a fast-paced healthcare environment. The Intake Specialist is onsite and schedule is Monday-Friday 1:30pm-10:00 pm.

Core responsibilities include reviewing medical records, communicating with patients regarding financial responsibility, contacting patients when documentation does not meet payer requirements, working with referral sources, demonstrating expert knowledge of payer requirements, maintaining accurate documentation, entering referrals within established timeframes, coordinating with leadership, working closely with sales, insurance verification, and internal support teams, navigating multiple EMR and online systems, ensuring appropriate shipping and delivery methods, answering incoming calls, participating in on-call rotation, supporting team operations, and performing other related duties.
