Job description

This is a remote position.


Job Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and client-focused Intake Specialist to join our Social Security Disability team. This is a high-volume, phone-based role responsible for conducting client intakes, gathering critical information, and moving cases efficiently through the intake process.

This position requires strong communication skills, organization, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct detailed intake calls with prospective clients
  • Gather and document medical, work history, and personal information
  • Follow up with clients via phone, text, and email
  • Generate and send retainer agreements
  • Schedule appointments with attorneys
  • Enter and maintain accurate data in the case management system
  • Assist with Social Security Disability applications and forms

Qualifications

Education

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field preferred.

Experience and Skills

  • Experience in intake, customer service, call center, legal, or medical office environments preferred
  • Experience handling high call volume is a plus
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to guide conversations
  • Excellent attention to detail and organization
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; case management software is a plus
  • Bilingual (Spanish) is a plus

Work Environment

  • Fully remote position
  • High-volume phone and computer-based work
  • Paperless environment using systems such as Vonage, Docubee, Microsoft Office, and SmartAdvocate

Physical Demands
This position requires extended periods of sitting, frequent use of a computer, and regular communication via phone and email. Occasional standing, walking, bending, or reaching may be required.
