Intake Specialist

Are you goal-driven? Then the Intake Specialist position is for you! We are seeking a dynamic and team-oriented individual to join our spirited team.

As an Intake Specialist, you will be responsible for providing intake, eligibility determination, orientation, and enrollment services to support customer engagement, program participation, and successful workforce and training outcomes.

Successful Elements

  • Serve as an initial point of contact for walk-in, phone, online, and referred participants by providing information on available programs and services
  • Conduct online and in-person intake, assessment, orientation, and eligibility determination processes for WIOA programs
  • Verify financial and eligibility documentation, complete enrollment packets, and ensure accurate data entry and updates in CWDS and other designated tracking systems
  • Assess customer job readiness, training interests, barriers, and service needs using assessment tools, including CASAS, as appropriate
  • Develop customer service plans that address identified barriers, establish resolution strategies, and outline targeted outcomes and achievement timelines
  • Support Career Resource Center operations by assisting customers with job search activities, resource navigation, computer usage, and access to workforce and training services

Education and Experience Requirements

  • High school diploma required; associate degree or some college preferred
  • Demonstrated telephone, computer, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational, prioritization, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment while maintaining flexibility to meet contract and operational needs
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
  • Able to work fully onsite, fully virtual, or in a hybrid environment
  • Clean driving record, valid Driver's License, and reliable vehicle required
