Job description

Hunton Rental Solutions (HRS), a division of the Hunton Group, is seeking to hire a Rental Applications Engineer to support the design, development, and validation of temporary engineered rental solutions for customers across a variety of industries. This position combines technical engineering expertise with customer-facing support to develop temporary power, HVAC, compressed air, and fluid handling solutions that are safe, reliable, and operationally efficient.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop engineered temporary rental solutions for customer applications.
  • Perform HVAC, electrical, and fluid handling load calculations and equipment sizing.
  • Create system layouts, technical drawings, and engineering documentation.
  • Review customer specifications, operating requirements, and project objectives.
  • Support sales teams during customer meetings, site visits, and technical presentations.
  • Develop temporary power, cooling, compressed air, and fluid handling system designs.
  • Coordinate with operations and project teams to ensure successful project execution.
  • Provide technical support for start-up equipment, commissioning, and operational testing.
  • Assist with troubleshooting and resolving technical issues during project execution.
  • Support fleet standardization initiatives and new product development efforts.
  • Participate in safety reviews, permitting requirements, and engineering best practices.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable industry standards and company safety policies.
