Basic Qualifications

Three or more years of program-management/project-management, event/conference management experience, or related experience in a professional setting required. Education beyond high school may count towards experience.

Additional Qualifications and Skills

  • College degree preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills required.
  • Ability to work in a collaborative team environment.
  • Ability to prioritize workload, multitask and take initiative in a deadline-driven, fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency using a variety of software applications including Excel, Slack, Outlook, and other Microsoft Office suite applications.

Applicants wishing to be considered for this position must include a cover letter in addition to their resume.

Must be able to work overtime hours in the morning, nights, and weekends as required for program delivery (typically hotels/conference centers in downtown Boston and Cambridge as well as being able to log-in early morning if live virtual course starts in the morning). In addition to overtime, this position must be able to work 8AM - 5PM to cover business phone calls.

This position is based in Boston and some in-person on-campus work will be required, and flexible/remote work is an option. Any remote work must be performed in a state in which Harvard is registered to do business (CA*, CT, GA, IL, MA, MD, ME, NH, NJ, NY, RI, VA, VT, and WA). Individual flexible and remote work options for this role will be discussed during the interview process. *Note: Harvard employees working in California must be exempt.

Position Description

The Project Coordinator will have a dual role within the department, assisting with project-based education initiatives under the Sr. Project Coordinator of RSS and the Program Manager of the department's live/live virtual continuing medical education (CME) courses with a focus on Accreditation & Compliance, Course Management and other course projects as assigned by the Program Manager, Sr. Project Coordinator and/or PGME leadership. They will be responsible for carrying out the staff trainings for and managing a portfolio of hospital based regularly scheduled series (RSS) activities during the renewal period from June - September and December - February, as well as a portfolio of year-round live and on-demand CME courses. They will work closely with the other Program Coordinators on the team to ensure all aspects of the attendee/learner experience are met.

Day-to-day duties will be overseen by the Program Manager. A successful candidate will possess a strong ability to prioritize multiple competing tasks and can take initiative in a fast-paced environment. Candidates must be able to work independently and within a team. We are looking for a person with an administrative background with excellent customer service skills by phone and email, strong written communications skills, and an eye for detail.
