Location: Pottstown, PA
Position Type: Part-Time, Hourly. (with growth to Full-Time, Salary)

Part-Time Hours: Wednesday-Friday 7am-3:30pmย

M.J. Nester Equipment Specialty Contractors provides expert welders, mechanical millwrights, heavy rigging, pipefitting and installation, plant relocation services, and supplemental labor. Based in the greater Philadelphia area, we serve manufacturing facilities nationwide.

Job Purpose

The Assistant Project Coordinator supports the Project Coordinator, Project Managers, and Operations team with administrative and project-related tasks to help ensure projects remain organized and operate efficiently.

Job Responsibilities

Administrative & Project Support

Assist Project Coordinators and Project Managers with daily administrative tasks

Organize and maintain project files and documentation

Assist with updating project schedules and tracking logs

Prepare project reports and spreadsheets

Maintain accurate digital and physical records

Project Coordination Support

Assist with coordinating material and equipment deliveries

Support travel scheduling for field crews

Help monitor project deadlines and outstanding items

Assist with permit and compliance documentation

Track receipts and project expenses

Coordinate lodging accommodationsย 

Communication & Team Support

Communicate professionally with vendors, customers, and field personnel

Communicate with project estimators during the planning phase to coordinate lodging by researching options and securing the best rates

Support coordination between office staff and field operations

Escalate project concerns or missing information when necessary

Maintain organized communication throughout project workflows

Qualifications

Previous administrative or construction-related experience preferred

Strong organizational and time management skills

High attention to detail and accuracy

Strong communication and teamwork skills

Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment

Positive attitude and willingness to learn

This position requires prolonged periods of sitting and working on a computer

Occasional standing, walking and bending and lifting my be required
