The Role
TheLead,BusinessDevelopmentis responsible for driving longterm revenue growth by identifying new business opportunitiesin new markets, developing strategic partnerships, and expanding the company's market presence. This role combines market analysis, relationship management,technical analysis,and strategic planning to convert opportunities into sustainable revenue.
What You'll Do
Conduct market and competitive analysis to identify trendsinmaterialsmarkets, whitespace opportunities, risks, market sizes, and technology requirements
Assemble business cases, capital requirements, product lifecycles, and financial characteristics into presentations for leadership review
On approval, createand execute business development and growth strategies aligned to company objectivesand competencies
Identify, qualify, and pursue new business opportunities inselectedmarkets
Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, partners,industry thought leaders,and key stakeholders
Lead negotiations and close deals that meet revenue, margin, and strategic goals
Collaborate crossfunctionally with Sales, Marketing, Product Management, Finance, Technology Development, New Product Development, and Manufacturingto develop business cases, proposals, commercial agreements, anddevelopment plans
Maintain accuratebusinessdevelopment timelinesandbusiness valuation benchmark schedules,promote these tools both inside and outside the company to advance the milestones of selected products
Represent the company at industry events, customerand critical suppliermeetings,andpartner engagements
Provide regular updates to leadership on pipeline health and growth initiatives
What We Seek
MinimumBachelor's degree inEngineering,Business, Marketing, or a related field(Technical +MBA preferred)
5+ years of experience in business development, sales, or strategic roles
Proven track record of identifying and closing new business opportunities
Strong negotiation, communication, and relationshipbuilding skills
Ability to analyze market data and translate insights into action
Experience workingin and withcrossfunctional teams
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in B2B, technology, manufacturing, or industrial markets
Familiarity with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce)
Experience managing strategic partnerships or complex commercial agreements
Ability to connect and influence managers and executives of F100 to F500 companies to drive solutions through development and qualification to high-volume market release
