OPPORTUNITY SUMMARY
1872 Consulting is a rapidly growing IT Recruiting and Consulting company focused on emerging technologies such as Cloud Computing, Data Science/AI and Blockchain. Our founders have worked for multiple IT recruitment companies in the past and have identified areas where most IT recruitment firms fall short, which we've capitalized on at 1872. Because of this, we've been able to grow rapidly and are now looking to expand our team. We have a windfall of new contract, contract to hire and direct hire positions coming open early 2020. We are looking for experienced recruiters to come in and demonstrate their abilities filling primarily contract positions.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Work with Business Development Managers and Hiring Managers to gather requirements and selling points for new open positions 
  • Search for qualified candidates through LinkedIn, Job Boards and other candidate pools
  • Screen candidates per job requirements and sell candidates on the value props of the innovative companies we recruit for
  • Clearly and concisely communicate to Account Managers why the candidates you've found are a good fit
  • Prep candidates for interviews, and work with them through the interview process
  • Negotiate job offers with candidates
  • Maintain relationships with candidates
  • Staying current on technology trends
  • Help us eat the snacks
  • Play competitive ping-pong
QUALIFICATIONS
  • 2-7 years of experience as an IT Recruiter
  • Experience filling contract IT positions
  • Keen understanding of the various IT skill sets and ability to vet candidates on dynamic job requirements – we work on roles across disciplines including cloud, DevOps, app dev, data engineering, data science, on-prem infrastructure and non-technical roles such as Client and PMs
  • Experience recruiting nationally in markets outside of just Chicago. Although many of our roles are in Chicago, we're quickly growing in markets from coast-to-cast
  • Demonstrated ability to consistently attract, qualify and submit candidates
  • Ability to effectively write candidate summaries as it relates to job requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree is a big "nice-to-have”, but not necessarily required
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills (this is on every job description, but this is VERY important to us)
  • Passion for technology
