Centurion is a leading provider of comprehensive healthcare services to correctional facilities, state hospitals, and community mental health centers nationwide.

We are currently seeking a full-time IT Technical Recruiter to join our growing team. This role will be based out of our Sterling, Virginia office and will follow a hybrid schedule of 3 days in the office and 2 days remote.



The IT Technical Recruiter will support the continued growth of our technology teams. This position will focus exclusively on recruiting, sourcing, screening, and advancing qualified candidates for IT, engineering, infrastructure, security, support, applications, data, software, and related technology roles.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partnering directly with IT leadership and hiring managers to understand role requirements, technical needs, team dynamics, and candidate profiles.
  • Sourcing candidates through LinkedIn, job boards, referrals, professional networks, recruiting platforms, and other channels.
  • Reviewing resumes and applications to identify viable candidates who meet the technical, professional, and cultural needs of the organization.
  • Conducting initial candidate screenings to assess experience, communication skills, compensation expectations, availability, and overall fit.
  • Building and maintaining a strong pipeline of qualified candidates for current and future IT openings.
  • Coordinating interviews between candidates and hiring managers.
  • Providing hiring managers with concise candidate summaries, recommendations, and concerns.
  • Helping refine job descriptions and postings to better attract the right talent.
  • Tracking recruiting activity, pipeline status, candidate feedback, and hiring progress.
  • Ensuring candidates have a professional and timely recruiting experience.
  • Supporting hiring strategies for roles across infrastructure, networking, systems, cybersecurity, help desk, cloud, software engineering, product, data, enterprise applications, and EHR-related technology.
  • Helping distinguish between candidates who are simply keyword matches and those who have the actual hands-on experience needed to succeed.

Required Qualifications

  • Proven experience recruiting for IT, technical, engineering, software, infrastructure, or cybersecurity roles.
  • Strong ability to screen candidates for both technical qualifications and professional fit.
  • Experience sourcing passive candidates and building talent pipelines.
  • Understanding of common IT roles, technologies, platforms, and certifications.
  • Ability to work closely with senior IT leaders and hiring managers.
  • Strong communication, organization, and follow-up skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple openings and priorities at the same time.
  • Experience using applicant tracking systems, LinkedIn Recruiter, job boards, and sourcing platforms.
  • High level of professionalism and discretion.
  • Must be able to work a hybrid schedule based out of the Sterling, VA office, with three days in the office and two days remote.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience recruiting for healthcare IT, SaaS, EHR, cloud, cybersecurity, infrastructure, or software development roles.
  • Experience supporting a high-growth or transformation-focused technology organization.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Azure, M365, cybersecurity, networking, service desk, enterprise applications, product management, QA, DevOps, and software engineering roles.
  • Experience recruiting both full-time employees and contractors.
  • Prior experience supporting executive or senior-level IT searches.
