Minneapolis, Minnesota
Position: Learning & Development Specialist
Team: HR
Primary Objective of Position:
This role will be pivotal in designing and implementing a comprehensive Union Non-union training program to enhance leader and employee skills and knowledge, supporting both individual growth and organizational success. Responsible for assessing training needs, designing instructional materials, and delivering learning programs.
Major Areas of Accountability:
  • Acts as a bridge between leadership and employees; ensuring professional development opportunities are relevant and accessible and directly support the Electric Machinery Company business objectives.
  • Develop and deliver Union Non-union training programs training program; instructor-led and Learning Management System (LMS).
  • Training Strategy; build a scalable training framework for onboarding, compliance, safety, and upskilling across departments, creating flexible learning customized to company needs.
  • LMS Implementation & Management; lead the review, improvement, and optimization of eSafety (LMS).
  • Partner cross-functionally with subject matter experts; identify training needs, ensure content accuracy and relevance, identify skill gaps and learning opportunities.
  • Facilitate and deliver training; using various instructional techniques to accommodate different learning styles, including workshops, coaching, mentoring, and job shadowing.
  • Evaluate training effectiveness; measure outcomes, gather feedback, and make adjustments to improve future programs.
  • Responsible for administering the Tuition Reimbursement program.
  • Other duties and tasks as assigned.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
  • Bachelor's degree in HR or Learning & Development with related field and 5+ years equivalent work experience in a training role required.
  • Proven experience in LMS implementation and administration required.
  • Proficient use of computer systems including Microsoft Office, Outlook, SAP and HRIS systems required.
  • Proven experience working in manufacturing union environments required.
  • Strong communication, instructional design, facilitation, and project management skills required.
  • Familiarity with ISO Standards and Compliance training preferred.
  • Ability to collaborate across departments and with external training partners required.
  • Demonstrated ability to propose, plan, and implement creative solutions in a team environment required.
  • Committed to bringing new and innovative ideas to enhance growing company and HR.

Physical Requirements:
  • Physical ability to travel freely within manufacturing and office facilities.
  • Must be able to lift Twenty-five (25) pounds unassisted.
  • Must be able to climb stairs.

Salary:
$88,000 - $95,000
