About the role:

The University Relations Recruiter executes the campus recruiting strategy to attract, engage, and hire top university talent, including interns, and co-ops. This role partners with universities and aligneinternal stakeholders, including hiring managers and business leaders to build talent pipelines and deliver an exceptional candidate experience. The University Relations Recruiter serves as an Energy Scout (Westinghouse's talent brand ambassador).

You will report to the Senior Manager, Talent Acquisition, working remotely and traveling as directed to university relations events.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Implement university recruiting strategies aligned to business hiring needs to attract top talent from our university partners.
  • Manage full-cycle recruiting for internship and co-op hiring programs. Including source, screen, interview, offer generation and guiding the university candidate throughout the recruitment cycle to provide a positive candidate experience.
  • Maintain strong communication with candidates and serve as the primary contact throughout the recruiting process.
  • Collaborate with hiring managers to understand their recruitment needs and drive the student's interest in a career with Westinghouse.
  • With the Westinghouse campus team, build relationships with stakeholders at our partner universities, including faculty, student organizations, and career services teams.
  • Coordinate and represent Westinghouse as an employer of choice at campus recruiting events including career fairs, information sessions, networking and virtual events, and student engagement activities.
  • Train and prepare hiring teams and campus ambassadors participating in recruiting events and interviews.
  • Contribute to program and process continuous improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with hiring policies, data privacy, employment regulation and drive operational excellence in university recruiting process.
Qualifications:
  • 3+ years of university relations recruiting experience, including university relations, campus recruiting, or early-career talent acquisition.
  • Success managing full-cycle recruitment processes, especially for university relations or early talent programs.
  • Knowledge of the university recruitment landscape, including trends, best practices, and competitor activity.
  • Proficiency in applicant tracking systems (ATS) and recruitment software.
  • Ability to build strong relationships and partner effectively with stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and project management capabilities.
  • Demonstrated ability to serve as the face of an organization, confidently engaging with students, university, and external partners to positively represent and strengthen the Westinghouse brand on campus.
  • Ability to travel to universities, career fairs, and recruiting events as needed.

We are committed to transparency and equity in all of our people practices. The base salary range for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be $76,400 to $95,500 per year.
