Alumni Relations Coordinator
Position Summary
The Alumni Relations Coordinator supports the institution's mission by fostering meaningful relationships with alumni, increasing engagement opportunities, and strengthening connections between alumni, donors, students, and the campus community.
Responsibilities
Under the direction of the Director of Alumni Relations and the Vice President for Institutional Advancement, the Alumni Relations Coordinator will:
- Develop and implement alumni engagement strategies that strengthen lifelong relationships, increase alumni participation, and support institutional advancement initiatives.
- Manage and strategically utilize alumni and donor records within the CRM database, ensuring data accuracy, integrity, and effective use of constituent information to identify engagement opportunities and support alumni programming and advancement efforts.
- Manage the collection, evaluation, and maintenance of alumni class notes and constituent updates, exercising independent judgment in determining appropriate content for alumni publications, communications, and institutional records.
- Plan, coordinate, and enhance alumni and advancement events, including reunions, Homecoming, regional and networking events, and recognition programs by managing timelines, communications, vendors, and stakeholder engagement while recommending improvements to strengthen the alumni experience.
- Coordinate the Benet Awards process by managing timelines, facilitating communications with stakeholders, coordinating nominations and materials, and ensuring successful execution of the recognition program.
- Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with campus departments and programs to identify opportunities for alumni involvement, connect alumni with students and faculty, and support institutional initiatives.
- Develop and coordinate alumni communications, marketing, social media, and outreach initiatives by managing content development, recommending communication strategies, and ensuring alignment with alumni engagement goals.
- Represent the Alumni and Advancement Office in a professional manner when interacting with alumni, donors, campus partners, and community stakeholders.
Requirements:
Education
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree required.
Experience
- Experience in a fast-paced office environment where teamwork is and each team member contributes to and celebrates everyone’s success.
- Significant work in non-profit organizations, preferably in advancement, alumni relations, marketing, communications or related field.
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in modern office software systems. Experience with database platforms is a plus.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and maintain a high level of professionalism and confidentiality.
