What we are looking for:

We are seeking an ONSITE Business Data Analyst Part Time to live out our Mission and Vision by working directly with the Controller to provide exceptional customer service to internal and external members. In addition, computes, classifies, records, and verifies numerical data for use in maintaining accounting records by performing the following duties.

Position Summary

The Business Data Analyst Part Time position is to provide financial, credit and risk analysis with respective reporting in support of all departments within the organization. In addition, this position will manage audit support requests and be the liaison for external audits and reviews.

The Financial Analyst / Business Data Manager evaluates credit union's data, as well as competitor and industry data, to identify opportunities to improve our market position and growth. Analyze historical and current financial data to understand the company's financial position. Review trends for monthly closings and report on variances. Prepare regular Financial Highlights and Management Discussion & Analysis (MD&A) for the financial packages. Lead on Asset Liability Management review to ensure accuracy of date and timely processing/reporting. Perform Peer Performance Reviews and evaluate results against Peer benchmarks. Prepare Monthly Concentration Risk review file and timely report findings to Management. Monthly review and reporting on the loan portfolio to identify and evaluate any potential risk concerns and/or issues and recommend strategy to mitigate such risk(s). Quarterly Credit Score Review and subsequent adjustments to reduce credit lines, as needed. Regular review of Indirect Dealers performance/watchlist; includes processing the dealer fee calculations and finalizing subsequent payments to the dealers, after review and approval. Provide support to Business Development/Small Business with the review of business financials and credit memos prepared for a potential business loan. Strong organizational and multitasking skills with ability to balance competing priorities. Responsible for developing and managing a data system(s) that consolidates data from other sources. Utilize tools to analyze data and provide actionable predictive information to empower Credit Union management to make informed business decisions and identify emerging trends. Evaluates data and presents analytics to the Marketing and Management Teams to collaborate on strategic marketing initiatives and tactical actions plans. The manager will organize and present data with an understanding of the business environment, business processes, and the insights into the business needs. This role will design, build and manage all data and processes necessary to support operational and marketing analytics; simplify and advance the current reporting platform; provide data capabilities; and continuously identify processes to automate/eliminate by applying business process improvements, wherever possible. Evaluates credit union's data, as well as competitor and industry data, to identify opportunities to improve our market position and growth.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university in information systems, computer science, data science, business administration or a related field that provides insight into business processes and organizational operations. Must have knowledge and understanding of data architecture, database design, data mining, data visualization.

Minimum 3-5 years of experience as BI/Data Analyst required, preferably in a financial organization

MUST have at least 2 years' experience in Power BI knowledge and Advanced knowledge of Excel analytics; statistical analysis, survey tools, and research techniques. High degree of proficiency utilizing all Microsoft Office products. Must also possess effective communication and presentation skills with critical thinking skills and superior problem resolution.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university (B. A.) in Finance, Accounting, or Economics. 2+ years of experience, preferably in banking/financial institution; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

A minimum of 2 years experience using BI

Understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles

Proven proficiency in spreadsheets, databases and financial software applications

Excellent reporting, presenting and communication skills

Strong analytical and organizational skills

Prior experience in financial institutions
