Job Description
  • Verifies and maintains accurate metadata in the master and control files of a database in a user environment. 
  • Updates master and control files as needed. 
  • Identifies, researches and analyzes data errors or inconsistencies within a database system. 
  • Recommends appropriate corrective actions. 
  • Will present problems to and discuss solutions with database users. 
  • Generates and reviews system reports. 
  • Responds to requests for reports or information. 
  • Maintains documentation on system files and reports. 
  • May recommend database improvements or coordinate system modifications with appropriate personnel. 
  • Will become familiar with operational, legacy data source systems in order to better understand analytic data lineage and repositories. 
  • Will engage in source to target data mapping.
