Raytheon Systems Engineering and Test Capabilities (SE&TC) is seeking a temporary Flight Test Engineer to support the Raytheon Multi-program Testbed (RMT). The RMT is a highly modified testbed supporting a wide array of advanced RTX flight test programs including Radar, EW, MFEOIR, and next generation sensors. This position requires duties in Ontario, CA with occasional work at other test sites.
What You Will Do
  • Perform systems installation, integration, ground testing, and aircraft reconfiguration work.
  • Serving as a Console Operator during flight test to provide program technical and systems support.
  • Troubleshoot technical problems and develop solutions with program system operators.
  • Perform work in classified and SAP environments

Qualifications You Must Have
  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 10 years' experience in engineering, design and development
  • Experience with flight test equipment and flight test execution
  • Experience in troubleshooting aircraft electrical, cooling and systems.
  • U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Qualifications We Prefer
  • Minimum of 10 years of flight test and systems integration experience
  • Experience working with engineering teams and flight test projects
  • Troubleshooting issues between test equipment, software, and hardware
  • Experience with government flight test, and working classified SAP programs

The hourly rate for this role is $70.00 to $133.08. The compensation range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.
Candidates will learn more about role type and current site status throughout the recruiting process. For onsite and hybrid roles, commuting to and from the assigned site is the employee's personal responsibility.
