Job description

Lighthouse Technologies is seeking an experienced Telecom Operations Manager. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of cable and fiber installation industry. You will be responsible for managing day-to-day field operations for your assigned team of technicians and contract partners. Some of the core responsibilities include mentoring & up-training field technicians, maintaining metrics for assigned team, and managing lead technicians. This position will require frequent travel with all travel expenses paid for by Lighthouse Technologies.

  • Responsibilities:This position is responsible for the following tasks:
  • Supervising local lead technicians and field technicians and other individuals or groups as determined by local management.
  • Developing and promoting a team atmosphere and ensuring the proper support is provided to each technician within the operation.
  • The Telecom Operations Manager will have direct contact with the local MSO, our customer. It is important that these relationships are maintained and developed.
  • Manage workloads and routing to ensure proper efficiencies based on local market guidelines.
  • Managing daytoday field operations for a assigned team, communicating with other members of local support staff, resolving issues and ensuring no technician is left out later than necessary.
  • Ensuring that Lighthouse Technologies is in compliance with all fieldrelated performance metrics.
  • Enforce company safety practices by completing random safety site inspections.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Requirements:
  • Must have at least 3+ years of telecommunications experience.
  • Must have a valid Driver’s license and meet Lighthouse Technologies MVR qualifications
  • Ability to pass nationwide background check and drug screen.
  • Must be legally eligible to work in the United States.
  • High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
  • SCTE or NCTI Membership and/or Certificate are preferred.
  • Previous leadership experience in cable or related industry.
  • Physical Demands:

    The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential duties of this job.

  • Frequent walking, standing, sitting within the work area.
  • Must be able to lift/push/pull/carry up to 80 pounds.
  • Must be able to work in various weather conditions (hot, cold, wet, and dry)
  • Have physical strength, endurance, and work well with your hands.
  • Must be confident while working at heights for extended periods of time
